What is a Traverse Wall?

A Traverse wall is a low-level climbing structure that eliminates the need for ropes, keeping children no more than 40cm above the ground and allowing horizontal movement. It’s an affordable way to introduce a new sport to your school

Custom Design Mural combined with Traverse Wall + Artificial Turf Safety-Surfacing 
It is entirely feasible to secure a custom designed 8 metre x 2.1 metre mural along with a climbing wall and artificial turf safety surfacing within a 5K budget.




Is Bouldering still the fastest growing sport in the world?


No! The surge in popularity of Padel has created challenges in finding appropriate spaces for bouldering centres. While anything that encourages physical activity is a positive thing, we must think creatively to support the continued growth of climbing and bouldering. School climbing walls serve as an excellent gateway to introduce this exciting sport and nurture a new generation of climbers.

  • Traverse walls featuring climbing holds only from £1500. These don't require safety surfacing but we do also offer it. All our quotes are fixed price with no mysterious extra charges. 


  • Murals paired with climbing holds starting at £4000 (7 metre mural x 2.1M High with X80 climbing holds). This includes all the priming and preparation work. Using good quality primers are the key to a long lasting durable mural. 


  • Our in-house design team is ready to help. Share a photo of your wall, and we'll create a digital visualisation for you, or pick one of our existing designs. 


  • Minimal disruption. We prepare and prime the walls, and we also create our own climbing holds, which can be cast in colours that enhance the mural design. We are used to working in schools and understand everything must be left clean and tidy!

The most cost effective way to install a traverse wall is to fix direct to masonry. We are the only manufacturer of climbing holds that can safely be attached to uneven stone walls. Our safety climbing holds were designed for bricks where as most traditional climbing grips were made to be fixed to flat plywood boards in a climbing centre.
